Faithfulness

From the beginning of time, God has been faithful to us. This is His character, who He has been, and who He will always be. Throughout scripture, we find that He has been faithful even in seasons where we have not been faithful to Him.
As we grow closer to Him, through studying His Word, fasting, and praying, we should start to become more and more like Him. We should become more faithful to ourselves, others, and most importantly to Him.
“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9
“Your faithfulness endures to all generations.” Psalm 119:90
“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”” Lamentations 3:22-24
We can acknowledge that God is faithful because He consistently does what He says He is going to do, and He does it well. That is the character that we should strive to take on as well.
Today, reflect and write down ways in which you have struggled to be faithful to yourself, to others, and to God. Repent and do not take on any condemnation about it. Instead, ask God for strategy on how to grow in this area. It all starts with obedience, obeying God with the "big" and "small" things. As we show ourselves faithful to Him in the "small" areas, it allows Him to trust us with even more.
Let's make a goal to stick to the plan that God has given us, even when it gets hard:
